Fabianski- top drawer.
Antonio - gets a pass because of his attacking play and because he's not a right back, but defensively suspect at the most generous. Lovely pass for the second goal though.
Ogbonna - decent. Wouldn't want him as first choice but he does a job.
Diop - he's good, isn't he?
Cresswell - as much love as I have for Pellegrini, it still baffles me how anyone thinks that Masuaku is a better option. Perhaps not perfect, but pretty damn good.
Rice - he's got everything.
Snodgrass - the guy just doesn't tire. He's not the best player in the world but you'd pick him every week given our current options. Arguably even ahead of a fit Obiang for a starting place with everyone fit right now. Who knew?
Obiang - I have to be honest, I'm not convinced. Still. He doesn't cover space particularly well, and his passing is adequate at best.
Diangana - his vision is something you can't buy cheaply, but given a lesson in the workaday elements of the Premier League tonight. He will improve, or he will disappear.
Anderson - 10/10. 11, if it were possible. Chased back well too, despite the naysayers. The best signing of the summer in the whole league, and the best player outside the top six. By a country mile. Who knowss ow long we can keep hold of him, but enjoy him while we can. A beautiful, beautiful player.
Perez - he is lucky he is in a team performing so well. He's just not very good.
Carroll did well doing what he does and arguably changed things. A definite positive and showed just how if - IF- he can stay fit he could be an asset. But at his wages? Probably not.
Noble closed things out like the true pro he is, whether he is the most skilled player in the league or not
Masuaku didn't have much time to do anything good or bad, but he's still dogshit isn't he?

I'm developing THE RAGING HORN for Snodders. To think that we were pretty much all caning him during his first spell here. And the fact that he can play midfield, as when Noble went off vs Watford, wide right or in behind the striker, well that's priceless to a side like ours, more so with the injuries. Mind you, there were plenty writing off Anderson too after his first few games. Not so much now.

If there is any justice then Fabiański will be in with a good shot of hammer of the year. Keepers often get overlooked but he has been excellent, both with the variety of saves, his distribution and claiming or clearing crosses.
I'm sure others like Rice, Snodgrass, Arnie and Anderson will also be in the mix but our keepers consistency so far has made such a difference.

Thought they all did well, Cresswell had one of his best games forums at theGeordies before getting injured again and carried that on again tonight. Ogbonna did well against Watford and again tonight. Fab was brilliant as usual and is my HOTY at the halfway stage with Anderson not far behind. Amazing player, hope we can keep him.
Only negatives were Perez did ok but missed a sitter and Carroll who looks like a dinosaur in Pelligrini's team.

I'm not ready to slate Perez, he's never really settled into the side and had many minutes. We've written off a lot of players after only a handful of games and they have turned out decent for us. As for lazy, well Anderson is the laziest and a frustrating player. Beautiful finishes and talented but absent for a long periods in the first half and gave the ball away a lot trying to be too clever and make passes which he didn't need to attempt.
I've said previously what I think of Carroll coming on. He looks unfit, poor touches, gives away free kicks, often out of position and I don't see what he really offers in the system we play. He definitely doesn't look like a player playing for his place or future. I'd rather see Silva given some minutes to be honest.
A good December for us and just what was needed. Gone is the doom and gloom and we finally are seeing passing football with a bit of pace and flair. You still don't know which West Ham will turn up on the day but you know if they do then it will be good to watch.

Surface, the thing I love about Snodders is in the same game he gives us both a touch of sublime skill and full on thuggery. I love that combination.

Carroll was miles out of position every time we went forward. He scares me when he drops deep and starts trying to pass it. He's terrible at it.

If antonio did what he’s good at, ie run at pace like traore of wolves , there is no stopping him.

JLAP, I saw that Maradona attempt as well, delightful, a proper RB would get a nose bleed and pass the ball, but Antonio just kept going and ended with a shot on goal. Carroll looked a bit pissed, but he was way out wide.

Great result!
We very rarely get anything at the Saints but to do so with a patched up team is very pleasing.
I am really enjoying our football at the moment and a lot of credit has to go to the manager.
The thought of a fit again Lanzini linking up with Anderson and Arnie is mouthwatering.

Must admit I was a bit bemused when some still thought Adrian was at Fab’s level even when we’d lost the first four. Definitely an upgrade and has been superb.
With Fab, Diop, Balbuena, Rice , Anderson and Arnie we have a core of a team. Need to retain them and add another 3 or 4 of similar quality. Reckon next summer is massive for us.

Oh, and it's ridiculous that people still question Fabianski. He's arguably been our best player, certainly in among the top three.
